Anna Sofia studied Management of Social Innovation in Germany, a career focused on the sustainable development of societies. During her studies, she took various subjects, such as sociology, economics and communication, emphasizing issues of social transformation, mainly the environment, technology and education. Sofia is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education, Gender and International Development with the University College London. She is passionate about building equitable, fair and sustainable societies through civic engagement and participation.

 In 2017 she teamed up with 5 fellow students to found Munich for SDGs. This student initiative builds awareness and understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in young people. The initiative implemented interactive methodologies to demonstrate the importance of the SDGs and promote actions that generate positive change and boost the achievement of the goals.

She began her career in the communications area of Green City Munich, a German NGO, which works to build greener cities and better public spaces for their inhabitants. Later, she was an intern at the Impact Hub Bogota, a network of innovation and social entrepreneurship, where she worked in the management of national and international projects. Before entering Movilizatorio, Sofia was part of the communication team for UN-Habitat, the United Nations Program for Human Settlements. Here, she contributed to the Inclusive Cities project, in conjunction with the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, which strengthens local governments in Latin America to guarantee the effective inclusion of refugees and migrants from Venezuela, in cities and communities. Sofia is fluent in Spanish, German, English and Portuguese.
