Elisabeth Ungar

Elisabeth Ungar Bleier was Executive Director of Transparency for Colombia, IT chapter in the country, from 2009 to 2017. She was a professor and researcher in the Department of Political Science of the Universidad de los Andes, from 1975 to 2009, as well as Director of the Department (1995-1996) and member of the board of directors of the University (2005-2007). Founder - and director for 12 years - of Congreso Visible, the first Colombian monitoring committee to follow up on Congress.

Elisabeth was an advisor to President Barco (1988-1990), and a member of numerous commissions and oversight committees for the election of members of the high courts and processes of political and constitutional reform.

Elisabeth was elected to the IT board in 2011. He is currently at Harvard, developing a Fellowship program and has been a Special Electoral Mission Committee Member since 2017.
