Juliana is a development practitioner passionate about working for socio-environmental justice, gender equality and human rights defense.  She has +3 years of experience working in the design, research, and implementation of meaningful projects aimed at understanding, empowering and advocating for marginalized communities. Currently, she is part of Movilizatorio as Project manager in environmental issues.

She studied Sociology at Javeriana University (Colombia) and has a Master’s degree in Development Studies with a major in Agrarian, Food and Environmental Studies at the International Institute of Social Studies of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands). Her academic and professional experience focuses on land policy, socio-environmental conflicts, citizen participation in public issues and the use of online and offline strategies for capacity building. 

She is a committed woman, with strong capacities to work in multidisciplinary teams and a permanent willingness to contribute and learn from a critical, creative and proactive approach.

She speaks Spanish and English.
